Current Obsession: Colorful Rolling Storage

Trevor O’Neil
Reader Kevin emailed me about his friend Trevor O’Neil who is a furniture designer, painter, and sculptor. That’s pretty impressive. I particularly like the salvaged materials he uses in his pieces. Check out the cork sofa:

Thanks, Kevin!
Create Your Own Furniture!

From the Piiroinen website, you can download this cool design software and create a custom chair or table using your own design. You can use pretty much anything you want - photos, patterns, etc. It’s a little pricey but to have a custom piece designed by you to fit perfectly into your decor may be priceless.

Knoop Tables

Knoop is Dutch for “knot”, but it’s also a new line of tables by designer Josh Urso. He combines his signature resin impregnation process with hundreds of feet of military-grade rope in this new design. Pretty cool stuff.
Helvetica in the Morning

Helvetica Coffee/Tea Mug. I want one.

Tree Table

I have no idea what this website says, but it really doesn’t matter because all I see is an awesome table with trees on it.
Walking Family

These tables are really cool. Together, they look like they’re dancing.
Granada Design

I absolutely love this new print “Zahra” from Granada Design.
New Silkscreens from jefdesigns

Designer Joe Futschik, with a desire to learn new methods of creation, has taken up silkscreening and presents, through jefdesigns, a new series of marine images. Each piece is hand printed on wood by the designer in a signed, limited edition of 60 prints per image. I have talked about Joe’s designs a number of times before.
www.vitamindesignshop.com

The fritillaria silkscreen panel edition is a special edition for his mom, who died earlier this year from ovarian cancer. Proceeds will go to charity and it will only be available on the jefdesigns website and his etsy shop:

Alternative Motivational Posters

So you don’t know what kind of art to hang in your office. How about motivational posters? Ew - ugly, right? Not these. Fred Terral emailed me his line of very cool, hip motivational posters. I love all of them.
Even better - the posters are printed on 100% post-consumer recycled papers that are FSC certified, certified processed chlorine free (CPCF), and made with 100% green energy. AND they are only printed with vegetable based inks, such as Soy.
Click below to see the rest of the designs.
Now available at Vitamin D(esign)!
Spell Shelf

The Spell Shelf: it spells “shelf”.

I am in love with this pillow from Oly Studio. I’m really digging hexagons lately…
Solarise Lamp

The Solarise lamp depicts the London skyline and as the lamp is turned on and off, it mimics the sun rising and setting.
