A Popular Cafe Gets Revamped for Multiple Functions

In Ostfildern, a suburb of Stuttgart, Café Pause had been a popular meeting spot but was in need of a revamped presence once a new leaseholder came into the picture. Ippolito Fleitz Group was tasked with giving the cafe a new look elevating it to a cultural spot that could house multiple functions, like small concerts by a local music school.

Desiring an upscale interior, the new tenants wanted a space that was suited for high-end bistro food that they wished to serve. While the design meets those expectations, it still needed to address the needs of a modern cafe.

There’s a central bar and surrounding that, there are various types of seating options that could work for different scenarios. Two original columns were transformed to be the backbone of an upholstered bench.

The color scheme throughout the space is centered around a bold blue and ochre. You’ll spot the colors in the upholstered wall panels, wall colors, and pillows.
