You know how mesmerizing a flock of birds are when they’re flying together in sync? Well, Graypants took inspiration from that natural phenomenon, which is called murmuration, and designed an eye-catching installation out of cardboard. Murmurations is a collection of adaptable LED lights that can be arranged into any configuration, just like they’re done here or as simple as one pendant.
Constructed of repurposed cardboard that’s been precision cut, the organic-shaped pendants reference the moa, an extinct wingless and flightless bird from New Zealand.
Murmurations is available as individual fixtures, as a standardized arrangement, or a custom designed installation, similar to this arrangement designed for Milan Design Week 2015.
