Two New Products from KIMXGENSAPA

Design studio KIMXGENSAPA, who we’ve written about before, is back with two new designs made with Adamantx®. Both designs have really interesting sources of inspiration that you’ll immediately spot once you hear the story behind them.

Two New Products from KIMXGENSAPA

I love this concept of a Disney villainess inspiring a modern piece of furniture because it is so visually interesting. Ursula is the sea witch from Disney’s The Little Mermaid with menacing tentacles and slimy curves. There’s more to her than meets the eye as she sometimes feigns helplessness but is actually a strong, independent character, despite her dark intentions. This is also how I would describe Ursula, a desk/table design made with Adamantx. The desk seems like a standard design but up close, like the Disney character, you’ll be able to see its true curves and form. Brilliant, no?

KIMXGENSAPA also designed the Darwin bookshelf, inspired by Charles Darwin’s theory of human evolution. Through the course of history, certain events characterize different stages in the evolution process, sometimes shown like a blip on a timeline. KIMXGENSAPA physically reproduced this idea with this bookshelf, which consists of elevated structures that act as a divider and bookrest to represent the different stages.
