Backpack: Outdoor Seating Inspired by Camping

Luca Pevere and Paolo Lucidi, of Lucidi Pevere, just launched a new outdoor seating collection for French brand Ligne Roset that looked to camping for inspiration. The casual collection includes a two-seat sofa and a lounge armchair that take a different approach with cushions.

Instead of the typical upholstered cushions, these are made from long sacks with cushions inserted that are then rolled down and buckled over the aluminum painted frame. The buckle keeps them in place and the inserts protected within the waterproof rubber fabric, while also referencing a rolled up sleeping bag or a backpack closed up. It also gives the overall design a casual and informal feel that’s perfect for outdoors.
