Bob Boasts Bountiful Possibilities for Seating

Stefan Borselius teamed up with fellow designer Thomas Bernstrand on an innovative seating system for Blå Station called Bob. The Swedish designers created Bob with the simple idea of being able to configure any kind of sofa or seating module you wanted. There are five different modules, each that span only 26 centimeters, that attach to each other to become a either a unique, curvy sofa or a more traditional one, like a 2-seater, 3-seater, 10-seater, and so on – only space is the limit.

The seat modules can become poufs, benches, or a bold, snake-like seating configuration. Add backrests to them for back support or additional seating as you can sit on the backs. There are pie-like modules to add curves to your arrangement and armrests to create anything from an armchair to a sofa. Bob’s rounded curves soften the boxiness of the components while giving them their distinct character.
