Jewelry Meets Modern Furniture in Past Presence

Modern furniture design meets sculptural jewelry in this stunning collaboration between design studio PELLE and jewelry designer Russell Whitmore of Erie Basin. Together, they created a collection that highlights the unique qualities of both partners — the modern design aesthetic of PELLE and historical design and fabrication from Russell Whitmore. Past Presence layers decorative accents on contemporary shapes, while experimenting with traditional methods of production and rare materials. The collection consists of three one-of-a-kind pieces that were debuted at Collective Design Fair.

SILVER VEIL is a large scale table lamp with some seriously amazing fringe detail. It has a sharp, geometric base plated in pure silver, resulting in a reflective surface that makes it seem invisible. The fringe curtain features sterling silver beaded chains that create an enigmatic mood.

DARK MOON is a intergalactic metal and stone wall fixture that has a shape commonly found in Arts & Crafts jewelry. The wall sconce features an aged, solid brass body with hanging stone segments. Each segment is made from dark marble, and diffuses the light emitted to create intriguing shadows.

The FIN CHAIR is a sleek, mahogany and steel chair that has a fin-like back. The stark, simple frame is warmed up by the Honduran mahogany wood.
