Float Minimalist Lighting by Articolo

Float is a minimalist light created by Australia-based studio Articolo. Articolo explores the art of light through handcrafted, artisanal lighting pieces, and debuted its collection for the first time in the United States this past May. The collection and designs are created by founder Nicci Green, who goes to say, “When something is made by hand, you can feel the soul that went into it.”

Float, the newest addition to the collection, is reminiscent of Hollywood glamour with its sleek and elongated proportions. The striking colored glass and sweeping brass stem reflect a sense of luxurious refinement, while its simplicity of form adds a modern touch to the design. The contrast between classic and contemporary produces a graceful grandeur.

When lit, the shade casts a soft glowing light due to its lengthy form, which melts away with the surrounding walls. The shades are removable for easy cleaning, and are available in two variations: frosted white glass and emerald green glass. The light is available in either a pendant form or as a wall sconce.
