Studio DUNN’s New Equinox Lighting Collection

Rhode Island-based Studio DUNN are known for their sustainable practices and their contemporary designs that give nod to mid-century aesthetics and their latest, the Equinox Collection, flawlessly falls in line. The collection, which includes a pendant and two sconces, was inspired by the twice yearly equinox where every place on earth gets to experience approximately equal amounts of day and night (i.e. 12 hours of daylight and 12 hours of nighttime).

The circular fixtures mimic that perfect alignment by balancing light and dark through soft glowing light and bold shadows. The Equinox Pendant and the Equinox Sconce with Glass both feature rolled glass front plates that reference the surface of the moon, while the Equinox Sconce with Metal swaps the glass out for powder coated steel discs.
