Mainly, the artworks consist of portraits of pop iconic figures that best symbolize the concept being described for that particular painting. Some of the ideas include identity, consumerism, defining art, altruism, individualism, and so on. Akira’s process begins with the concept, and from there the figure that would be the poster person for the concept is chosen.
