Jonas Damon has done it again with his clever iPhone and iPod docks. Remember his CRT monitor for iPad? Well, he’s added two new pieces to the analog collection.
Alarm Dock is shaped like an old-school alarm clock. Looks great using a flip clock app. Available through Areaware.
Analog Radio is a nice-looking portable dock that resembles an old radio.
Clever design!
I find these designs rather derivative of Dieter Rams designs and not really original nor thought-through. For one, the portable radio is not balanced out, the iPhone is heavier than a speaker. On the alarm clock, Apple’s alarm message would appear sideways.. Rams would never.
