Ardú Console Table by Martin Gallagher

The Ardú Console Table by Martin Gallagher is a sculptural piece that was inspired by skeletal structures. The repetition of the legs creates a rib-like formation reminiscent of the spine or bones.

The description reads “the sculptural elements reminiscent of delicate bones and brass spacers evocative of the human vertebrae, create division within the rhythmic pattern, in unison forming the structure of Ardú.”

Glass was an obvious choice for the top so that the legs are completely visible from all directions. The console is a harmony of glass and maple, available in an edition of 12 pieces. The console’s length can be changed based on the number of legs.

I also think it looks a bit like a many-legged insect. Regardless, it’s truly a beautiful piece of work.
