San Diego-based creative blog Holiday Matinee is spreading the creative love and positive messages with a new series of t-shirts designed by Evan Melnyk. Each t-shirt offers messaging that can encourage anyone struggling to love their work and work their love. Two of the designs (Love Your Work and Relate & Create) come in two different colorways and the Creative Self design comes in light gray on solid black. Which one would you choose?
On the outside, the RevolveR Bound Journal looks like any other ordinary journal, but it actually has a dual purpose and function that I haven’t seen in any book before. The journal contains two separate sections for blank paper and lined paper, allowing the user to embrace duality, but what’s really amazing is the cover that transforms with just two flips! Matt and Ellen Dudley of RevolveR were kind enough to send me two journals from the collection to see the cover-flipping technology in action, so I tested it out and it turned out to be one of the most addicting things ever. The Lloop Lamp by Ontwerpduo with VIJ5 is a lamp that is adjustable in height by extending or shortening the loops of the electricity cable using the wooden pieces.
The Luxo Sleep by Bloom Baby is a stylish, durable wooden crib that can transform from a crib to a toddler bed. It comes with a patented adjustable side panel on one side and uses baby-safe finishes. The crib also comes in a variety of colors.
Bowls are built into the center of this coffee table by U-B Studio to serve as a storage for magazines and other usual coffee table objects.
These chat cups from Soop Group are cups outfitted with hilarious one-liners on vinyl stickers that are positioned at the cups’ bottoms so that other people can read them only when the drinkers lift the cups to drink from them.
Designer Robi Renzi of RenziVivian is showing these cabinets in Milan. They’re constructed using pieces of salvaged wood and they remind me of a wooden furniture version of a patchwork quilt using scraps from different garments.
