Birdview Residence by Douglas W. Burdge

The 10,000 square foot Birdview residence is beyond impressive to say the least. It was significantly remodeled by architect Douglas W. Burdge and boosts amazing views of the Pacific. The estate is located on the bluffs above Point Dume State Beach in Malibu, California, where the view often allows for gray whale sightings during migration.

Between the house and guesthouse, the property has 7 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms, and sits on a 1.1-acre lot. The swimming pool and spa were added by Burdge, as well as the new guesthouse. The floor-to-ceiling seamless windows throughout make it possible to enjoy ocean views from every room. The sliding pocket doors in the family room open up the space to the pool area making the house perfect for indoor/outdoor living. Jay Griffith’s landscape design offers privacy to the modern structure while not obstructing the million dollar views.

The interiors were designed by Tim Clarke.

The home is currently on the market for $27 million. Any takers?
