With a flat charcoal exterior, showcasing a very tight foot print, the house by Kouichi Kimura Architects still looks massive in a sculptural way from the side. This could be a solution for designing modern interior of submarines. Since there are only so many windows on the sides, the skylights provide the rest of the natural light needed in order to make the space more appealing.

Curved countertops in the kitchen, makes the transition between spaces easier and the curved wall creates a focal point that goes all the way to the natural source of light on top of the stairwell.

Concrete stairs and enclosures and mirror polished dark stained floors manage to create a very luxurious feel.

love the aesthetic here…alternative living space at its finest. really beautiful. the only thing missing is a yard or garden but perhaps it’s there in the back….
