I would be extremely wary of purchasing any Bodum brand electrics. I have experienced and read other accounts of the Ibis kettle over heating to the point of the handle falling off. If the kettle hadn’t been unplugged it definitely would have continued to boil and possibly cause a fire. If they can’t get something simple like an auto shut off to work on an electric kettle, how well do you think they’d do with a toaster?
