Bow Lighting from Observatory Hits The Target

In order to satisfy their own studio lighting needs, Observatory created Bow, a sleek, overhead lighting fixture that is able to provide both direct and indirect illumination. Made from natural wood and metal elements, it has “laminated ash limbs that wrap around the light source and flow into crisp, minimal powder-coated shade and reflector components.”

Bow has two different versions: one with a larger reflector that covers both wall and work surfaces with light, and the nude variant which provides overall room lighting. It also has a thin, fabric wrapped cord that runs along the inside of the wood limbs, powering a bi-directional LED board or high-efficiency fluorescent T5 lamps.
