I’m still not sure why it’s called the Quiver, but this cute little wine tote would be very helpful when you are carrying an armful of presents or a cassarole dish.

Irana Douer is one of my current favorite artists. Her work is so interesting, new, unique, and playful. Many of her pieces express a particular emotion: sadness, surprise, wonder. Or maybe, that is just how I feel when I see them. Anyway, she has some wallets over at Poketo and I am having a hard time not ordering one…

Here is what Wis Design says about their Jewellery Lamp:

“Instead of letting jewelleries get tangled on hooks, or hiding them in boxes, we literally want to bring them into the light. When the jewelleries are not decorating you, they are decorating your own personally styled lamp.”

Hey, why not? Well, I suppose if you have a lot of jewelry, eventually the lamp loses its functionality…

I like anyone named Lulu just because of the pup. But this necklace from Lulu Smith is absolutely beautiful! The colors are exquisite and the shape is modern and fresh.

Every two seconds someone in the United States needs blood.

I don’t post about too many contests but here is one I think is important:

“This year, the National Youth Council is launching a contest to create a modern t-shirt design just for young blood donors. While supplies last, all presenting donors on a high school or college campus in the United States will receive this snazzy shirt as a thank you gift.

Participate. Design a tee that represents the significance of blood donation, the gift of life. Create something edgy that high school and college students will want to wear. Need some inspiration? Visit givelife.org to learn more about blood donors and recipients of blood products.

If your design is chosen, it will be screened onto 600,000 shirts and distributed nationwide. Your design will be worn by hundreds of thousands of young people all over the United States.”

I suggest you plan on designing something snazzy, since “snazzy” is the best way to describe a modern t-shirt to young people. OK, I’m just being silly, but the contest sounds like a great opportunity to earn $1K, get your work out there, and help spread the word of a good cause.
