Dominique Mao is an extremely talented designer based in San Francisco. Shown here are some of her student work she created during her semesters at the Academy of Art University. Below are images from her final thesis project where she combines experimental typography and jewelery into beautiful art forms. Her project titled, typecandy is a quirky and upbeat collection of acrylic jewelry.

“Typecandy is a delicious combination of type and jewelry. This contemporary acrylic jewelry line is quirky and upbeat, brightening days the way eating sweets does. The jewelry collection plays with sweet and tart slangs made with beautiful ornate typefaces using mouth-watering colors. The brand evokes the same experience by juxtaposing a simple and bold logo with delicious colors and fun, quirky shapes. “
