Echo: Furniture Inspired by the Art of Origami

Designer Tom Faulkner just launched a new collection of sculptural furniture called Echo at this year’s DECOREX. Consisting of the Echo Table and Echo Swivel Chair, the pieces were inspired by the art of origami with their faceted design looking like the complex folds but with a sophisticated simplicity.

The “folds” of the table legs were mathematically configured to provide the maximum amount of strength and stability. The swivel chair mimics the faceted shape of the table and provides a cocoon-like place to sit.

The table has a patinated steel finish with an opti-clear glass top while the chairs are upholstered in black leather.
