I USED to shop at EQ3 and one thing I would watch out for is that if you are buying furniture- they lie about the materials on the tags!!!
I was going to buy some dining room chairs that were labeled as being GENUINE LEATHER and thought to come back with my mother to see if she liked them.
My mother- she is very picky and will flip furniture upside down to see how the bottom parts are finished, if the slipcovers can be removed for cleaning or whatever.
Well, my mother saw that these chairs that were labeled as leather actually had a fabric backing and were not leather at all…
The store staff there said they had no idea about this either.
I did contact EQ3 head office in Canada about this and they did confirm with me that these chairs were really LEATHERETTE and mislabeled.
The head office also told me this would be corrected shortly, but from what I saw it never was for that item(s) at least.
I kind of wish I had sent the info I had to one of the government depts that deals with fraud or mis-labeling,but did not think about that back then.
I did cancel my whole order of items from that store though.
Except for a desk I have here.
I was sold a corner desk in white, it was in stock.
delivery in 2 weeks.
“they” turned around and sold the same desk to someone else and only had a red one.
I needed a desk and had nothing at all and so the store lent me a red desk and when they got the correct one in delivered the correct one.
The store/EQ3 then repackaged the red desk and sold it as being new, after it was in my house for 3 months.
I would be very careful buying furniture there.
The accessories are lovely though.
