Exclusive: VSBY Trivet by Visibility for OTHR

We’ve got your sneak peek at OTHR’s latest launch: a product from the young but formidable, New York-based Visibility: the VSBY Trivet, crafted in 3D printed, matte black porcelain.

Inspired by the looping shapes of freeway systems and the infrastructure of transportation, the VSBY Trivet is an imaginative take on the classic cast-iron model. Working within this language, the studio set out to create a visually compelling form that, while built for 3D printing, remains familiar to the user.

This set of sculptural nesting trivets, designed with efficiency in mind, can be used alone for small and medium items, or together for larger items.

The relationship between the feet and tracks is inherently architectural; like columns supporting a stretch of bridge.

New York-based Visibility has appeared on the Forbes 30 under 30 list. The studio consists of Joseph Guerra and Sina Sohrab, who met while studying furniture design at RISD. With a keen focus on the purity of an idea, as well as its material and formal actualities, the two have engineered a fine balance that allows each of their perspectives to influence their design.

Get your early edition of the VSBY Trivet here before it goes on sale to everyone else on Thursday.
