A Perfect Marriage: Salt & Pepper Shaker Rings

Layla Mehdi Pour, a designer with Persian roots, designed ceramic salt and pepper ring sets called FëlFël, which means “pepper” in Persian. The circular design was inspired by her relocation to Italy to study industrial design, much like the spice trade arrived in Europe centuries ago, mixing both cultures and flavors.

Layla’s goal was to bring the ring, a symbolic symbol, back to the table by way of two spices that always go together, much like “two eternal lovers adding a touch of flavor to our cuisine.”

The rings are handcrafted in Italy by artisan masters with details for everyone, like the visually impaired, with embossing on the exterior letting the user know which ring is which.

The rings are available in black, white, and red, with glossy or matte finishes and can be purchased via Swart, Lacrom, or Lovethesign.
