This weekend (Feb 13-14th), I’m hoping to get a tour of the Sierra Way Signature Home, a property that’s been reimagined by Jackie Thomas and DeeAnn McCoy of Thomboy Properties, and on February 20th, I’m looking forward to hearing them talk on a panel with other interior design experts about women in design.
Jackie and DeeAnn (please forgive me while I sing John Cougar Mellencamp for a moment…) will take part “Female Factor: Women in Design”, a discussion sponsored by Kohler, alongside Laura Kirar of Laura Kirar Designs and Jamie Rummerfield of Woodson & Rummerfield’s House of Design. The talk will focus on successful women in interior design, including female legends such as Elsie de Wolfe and Dorothy Draper, and the panel will also share personal stories and successes.
This spirited discussion, located at Modernism Week’s Central Headquarters Community and Meeting Place (CAMP), will be moderated by author and designer Steven Stolman and former editor-in-chief of Town & Country, Pamela Fiori. After the discussion, we’ll all reconvene at the Tomboy-designed Sierra Way Signature Home for a reception and some cocktails (as you do in Palm Springs…)
