Modern Fire Station in Portugal by Álvaro Siza Vieira

Famed, and award-winning, Portuguese architect Álvaro Siza Vieira designed this volunteer fire station and barracks in Santo Tirso, Portugal, complete with a circular-shaped training tower.

Divided over three floors, the goal of the complex was to bring all services and functions under one roof, with lots of thought given to circulation and flow.

Overall the structure utilizes brick and concrete for materials with a strong linear feel with regards to design. The garage takes it a step further with its grid-like pattern.

I love how clean the interior is with the white and gray paint divided by the continuous line.
