I’m simply fascinated by great architecture. Herzog & de Meuron, Jeal Nouvel and Shigeru Ban are all sources of inspiration for me.
2. Alexander Calder
Alexander Calder is one of my favorite artists. I especially love his piece, The Red Spider. The dynamic shapes, sharp angles, red color, rivets, overwhelming size and materials symbolize modernity.
3. Street Art
Cities are the largest exhibition areas. I like to get a daily dose of inspiration when I walk around my home town or any city I’m visiting.
4. The Details
As an industrial designer, I pay close attention to the smallest details in an object. I believe detail truly tells us about the designer’s state of mind. From screws to materials, each detail reveals the product’s essence.
Nature is a continual source of inspiration. I often look to nature first to find inspiration. For instance, when I designed Colorways, I was inspired by the shape and movement of ocean waves.
