Haskell Collection

Design firm Nien Studios, in collaboration with mstetson design, has created a website for a new Southern California-based company called Haskell Collection. Lindsay from mstetson sent me over photos from their debut line — Series 9.

Haskell’s modern, eco-sensitive outdoor furniture certainly appealed to the inner lounge lizard in me. Lake breezes, lemonade, toes in the grass, the smell and barbecue in the air…ahhh…are you with me yet?

The Series 9 collection has a focus not only on style, but on being eco-friendly. Using type 304 EAF stainless steel frames with a recycled domestic scrap metal content up to 85% keeps them 100% recyclable. There are not solvents or VOC finishes used, and the custom cushions contain a proprietary “bio-foam” containing almost 40% vegetable oil composition and organic, halogen-free fire retardants. Also, on the cushion’s exterior are Bella-Dura® fabric. Haskell Collection is definitely a newcomer to the outdoor furniture scene to keep an eye on.

The collection is currently being made available to specialty resellers and commercial clientele, including architectural and development firms, with a focus on hospitality, high end residential, and eco-sensitive projects.
