House F by Ido, Kenji Architectural Studio

Constructed on a narrow lot in the heart of a mixed-use area in Osaka, Japan, House F is a three-story house designed by Ido, Kenji Architectural Studio that was built for a couple. A terrace was created on the front exterior and is partially hidden with horizontal wood planks used for privacy.

The white and wood from the exterior continue through to the interior of the house.

The interior is consistent among the three stories with light wood floors, shelving, and trim work. The walls are white, making for a bright and open feeling throughout.

There’s such a beautiful simplicity to the design and it would definitely fit into our Skim Milk column!
