Inclusions by Thaddeus Wolfe

While visiting The Museum of American Glass in southern New Jersey*, glass artist Thaddeus Wolfe noted a technique of incorporating colored glass into clear molten glass, used to create floral patterns.

Inspired by this technique, Wolfe presents his latest series of free-blown glass vases called Inclusions. Instead of creating flowers, Wolfe creates an abstract form with a simple palette that appears to be suspended. This latest series is available at Matter.

Editor’s note: I had no idea this museum was near me but I will have to go and check it out. Yet another reason why New Jersey is awesome.
