An Interactive Installation by Philippe Malouin for Caesarstone

Designer Philippe Malouin created a whimsical, interactive installation for Caesarstone at this month’s IDS Toronto. Swings is a circular structure composed of 12 swings that toy with the idea of merging play and contemporary art. The minimalist, monolithic structure feels sculptural and adult while at the same time referencing childhood memories of swinging.

The swings are made of Caesarstone’s Supernatural Series in new colors and textures, as well as the upcoming Concrete Series.

From Malouin:

The installation invites people to interact with the product naturally. Although it looks and feels extremely natural, the material has some really amazing qualities for designers to work with and which allow it to be machined and handled with more flexibility than stone.
