WestEdge Design Fair is a brand new West Coast destination for design. From October 3rd through the 6th modern design will take over the Barker Hanger in Santa Monica. Over 150 brands will exhibit including the best modern furniture, lighting, kitchen, bath, outdoor furnishings and other products for the home including Blanco, Bosch, J. Rusten Furniture Studio, Linea, Muuto, Cerno, Valcucine, Stokke, Zia Priven and more. Custom installations, design panels and workshops will also complement the show floor.

WestEdge Design Fair will host a comprehensive schedule of panels and workshops in a theater outfitted by Benjamin Moore. In sponsoring the fair’s theater, Benjamin Moore will also present two weekend programs: one focused on sustainable living, and another on color inspiration. The WestEdge theater program kicks off on Thursday, October 3, and includes Thursday-Friday programs geared for the design trade and weekend panels targeted toward the homeowner audience.

I’ll be moderating a discussion “Why Should You Care About Original Design?” – panelists include founding members of Be Original Americas, Gregg Buchbinder, CEO of Emeco and Antoine Roset, EVP of Ligne Roset/Roset USA Corporation as well as Irwin Miller of Gensler (LA). Also, be sure to look for our post-show highlights a few days after the event.

Other fair highlights include a custom-designed media lounge by Design Within Reach, a Belgian Café sponsored by Stella Artois and a central VIP lounge designed by Ligne Roset to commemorate the 40th anniversary of its TOGO collection.
