Kabino Sideboard by Simon Legald for Normann Copenhagen

If we’re being honest, we all know sideboards can, well, be super boring. Designer Simon Legald had the notion to create a simple sideboard that was anything but snooze-inducing. The Kabino, designed for Normann Copenhagen, is a versatile piece with dynamic details that could be used in any room.

On the front, the sideboard is outfitted with two sliding doors made of matt lacquered aluminum, one of which is perforated with holes adding visual impact. Available with white or grey doors, the piece’s front is trimmed with an ash frame that adds a bit of warmth to the modern design.

The handles are oval holes that are on opposite corners of the doors adding an unexpected twist.
