Le Portelet House by MOOARC

Le Portelet is a recently completed experimental house by MOOARC‘s design research lab, MOOHUS. Located in Guernsey, an island off the coast of Normandy, the house is a new build overlooking the Portelet Harbour. The goal of the project was to settle the house into the wooded hillside while also allowing each of the main rooms to have views of the surrounding outdoors.

The exterior is covered in a wood finish that complements the surrounding beach and landscape. The large glass windows allow the interior to be flooded with natural light. The interior decor is kept simple with light wood floors, white walls, and modern furnishings.
