space age bar that david bowie would visit often.
David on 06.06.2011 at 10:19 AM
This would be a great wall covering in a city garden! Have your outside flat wall covered in a large face of this, and have plant life all around, combining the nature and a retro feel.
Kate on 06.06.2011 at 10:24 AM
I think the Chromo would be lovely in the windows of a sunny bathroom to diffuse the light.
matt on 06.06.2011 at 10:29 AM
this would look fantastic in an semi-outdoor setting, perhaps a garden patio.
Jill Browning on 06.06.2011 at 10:33 AM
A booth at a cool bar or chairs in a funky clothing boutique. Or maybe a shower curtain…?
Nikki Fisher on 06.06.2011 at 18:19 PM
I agree with you. I was also thinking some really neato vinyl wall decals in a retro/mod baby nursery would be spiffy too. I “like” :)
yulia on 06.06.2011 at 10:37 AM
I’d say something public or commercial, like a restaurant.
Marie on 06.06.2011 at 10:39 AM
great for a karaoke room!!!
Adrienne B on 06.06.2011 at 11:15 AM
1950′s table and chairs! Or maybe a kids dresser- on the front of the drawers.
Allison on 06.06.2011 at 11:52 AM
I could see it in a 50′s style diner, definitely.
Pati on 06.06.2011 at 12:06 PM
I think it would look great cut out in cool geometric shapes and put on a feature wall…
seth on 06.06.2011 at 13:15 PM
I think Chromo CY05 would look great as the \backsplash\ inside a TV console or credenza, and CY01 would look great as the \backsplash\ inside some open-faced cabinets. Very modern!!
desiree on 06.06.2011 at 13:17 PM
This is cool stuff! CY01 could look pretty sweet as a ceiling! CY06 might look pretty cool as the surface of some shelving :)
Vincent Nigro on 06.06.2011 at 13:42 PM
It could be fun to cut and utilize as a wall decoration.
Chris on 06.06.2011 at 14:06 PM
I can really see that working in a little boy’s room. Pretty much any color of it. I’d maybe even upholster a headboard in it.
Lizzy on 06.06.2011 at 15:25 PM
Chromo would look great on the walls of a fun and dramatic restaurant. During the day, the daylight bouncing off of it would liven up the space. At night with candles lit, it would create a dazzling effect.
Tyler Loewen on 06.06.2011 at 14:57 PM
This stuff is crazy! Think about a padded room wrapped in this, Id go bonkers!
Sandi Gunnett on 06.06.2011 at 15:02 PM

The tiles would look fabulous on accent walls in living rooms and even on ceiling finishes in play rooms, movie rooms and for restaurants/nightclubs.
Bryna on 06.06.2011 at 16:56 PM
I think this would make some fun accessories, e.g. eye glass holder, wallet, or even a skin for ipad or laptop.
antonella brancacci on 06.06.2011 at 18:09 PM
Chromo would be perfect for doing funky designs on walls, maybe a city skyline using little squares to do pixel art?
Kristen Isaacs on 06.06.2011 at 18:11 PM
Lining the walls of a cool dark bathroom. With fun little 3D artwork popping out of the wall above eye level :)
Lori on 06.06.2011 at 18:22 PM
This material would be great to cover the horrid finishes available on sewing machine cabinets. In fact, I may order some right now.
Laura M. on 06.06.2011 at 18:22 PM
Ooooh I want to cover my bike in it, it would make such a sweet retro-space ride!!
Heather on 06.06.2011 at 18:26 PM
Chromo would obviously look great on a vintage diner set. I also think certain colors would look awesome as the upholstery for 50′s – 60′s cars.
Joanne on 06.06.2011 at 18:44 PM
Ceiling!!!
lisa k on 06.06.2011 at 19:38 PM
Lilly Kral,
you make it all.
For a bench,
seat or wall.
Biggest news,
that is here
is that Chromo’s
new this year.
Shiny, sparkly,
fancy, too.
Water and soap
will clean it through.
Decorate –
Bed, bath, and more.
Cover your shoes,
never a bore.
Make some pants,
for night on town.
Put it on ceiling
and boogie down.
CY01 through
Number 9.
Chromo and you
equals a really good time.
Katie on 06.06.2011 at 20:40 PM
The white Chromo CY01 would look great in large upholstered wall panels along a corridor entrance into a chic restaurant or club!
lisa on 06.06.2011 at 20:58 PM
You could use it on a future themed room. because according to spongebob, everything is chrome in the future.
Meg on 06.06.2011 at 21:05 PM
Modern style cupcakery in New York or LA that combines food and architecture. I would brand the entire shop around that material, and maybe some of the cupcakes too! It would be perfect to use on a cupcake food truck to expand the business as well.
Alicia on 06.06.2011 at 21:06 PM
I’d love to stretch a piece of chromo over a frame and hang it as art in my studio! :)

andrew on 06.06.2011 at 21:55 PM
A highlight wall in a car showroom or the floor on a vehicle display.
Jenni Horne on 06.06.2011 at 21:56 PM
Oooo…I see a super sleek headboard for my pre-teenage son with this! Especially the orange shade.
Laura on 06.06.2011 at 22:01 PM
Chromo would make a great wall covering for a restaurant or bar in Vegas. With the right lighting the walls would glisten!
Christine on 06.06.2011 at 22:16 PM
I’m a sculptor. Since it’s a vinyl material- you can cut it into intricate shapes and it would never fray BUT it’s flexible.
I’d use it in a piece with my woven mylar sculptures.
Annika on 06.06.2011 at 23:54 PM
It would be great as a table and chairs in a fun game room or family room.
Zane on 06.07.2011 at 00:00 AM
I’ll get even more specific…there are some pretty cool themed restaurants out there, but think of heading into a fairly modern seafood bistro, let’s call it SPLASH…as you enter SPLASH, head down the super sleek corridor with the CY02 wrapped all the way from floor to ceiling to floor…between are super sleek modern light bands that circle the space (think TRON) and give the irridescent \scales\ an opportunity to shimmer as you pass. Cheers!
Kim on 06.07.2011 at 00:24 AM
A Barcelona chair covered in CY01…the pearlescent of the white with the vintage chrome…perfect!
btothes on 06.07.2011 at 01:23 AM
Ooh! I oddly would love to see the gold behind a dark wood headboard. I’m thinking reinvited Marie Antoinette.
Lydia on 06.07.2011 at 09:18 AM
I think it would make an awesome set of furniture in a modern/kinda retro style. Maybe in a big open floor plan room, where you could use hints of it here and there – a chair here, a square in a frame there, etc – to tie it all together.
Ladyaia on 06.07.2011 at 09:29 AM
I would love to see the Chromo used in a radio broadcast booth I am working on. The CY01 or CY08 would be perfect. Have to order samples. Thanks Lily Kral for sharing!

\I would love to see Chromo on some patio bar stools!
Brian on 06.07.2011 at 22:39 PM
You’ve unearthed an eclectic mix of memories with Chromo! I am reminded, first of all, of childhood staples like those slap bracelets, holographic pokemon cards or shiny folders for schoolwork. It reminds me of a red, shiny guitar amp that I saw once at a guitar shop somewhere. It would look interesting (definitely shimmery) under club or bar lighting. I think it definitely belongs in a setting like that, unless you want a house looking like it was designed by Studio Memphis! And it definitely fits with the aesthetic of the background of scenes in many hiphop/pop music videos – what came to mind first was something similar to a background of a Notorious B.I.G. music video (shot with a fisheye lens, of course)!
Rasta on 06.07.2011 at 23:45 PM
Hey this would match my kitchen table top. Great upholstery for my dinette set.

Steve Lam on 06.08.2011 at 10:20 AM
chromo would look ridiculously awesome on my patio set!
Dan Webster on 06.08.2011 at 10:49 AM
I could see an ideal use of for Chromo being a window shade – like a role down blind, perhaps? Would be much nicer looking that a plain/solid colour, and would add some fun to it.
Joshua Lawson on 06.08.2011 at 12:29 PM
I was thinking you use it as a cover to a retro sharp edge table CY06. Then cover the chairs with CY08 or CY01. Maybe some metal ribbed molding around the chair sides and table sides like the old 60s diner counters. Then through a lamp and maybe a vase or two in the middle to add light for effect and the colored vases to add more color and reflection.
I think you could wrap anything in Chromo to coolify it! Whether it’s a history teach or a faux-hawk – it could use some Chromo!
Cameron on 06.08.2011 at 19:53 PM
Chromo would be awesome as a messenger bag or a bar stool!!
Emily on 06.08.2011 at 19:54 PM

I think this would be perfect as wallpaper in a modern restaurant/club bathroom or in a diner with roller-skating servers. It can be really classy, or just add a fun pop to any room, really. I especially like the black and orange.
Riles on 06.08.2011 at 20:09 PM
How about applying it to kitchen countertops?
trina calderon on 06.08.2011 at 20:11 PM
The ideal use for Chromeo would be on the set of G4′s “X-Play” tv show- it could be covering a podium or table or chair that Adam Sessler or Morgan Webb sit on or stand by.
tammer on 06.08.2011 at 20:32 PM
I would reupholster my chairs for outdoor use. CY01 or CY02 would be perfect.

H.M. Hall on 06.09.2011 at 03:43 AM
I think the Chromo would make great kitchen cabinet door decor to cover over the extremely ugly ’80′s ivory laminate cabinet doors in my kitchen. I’ve been considering how to redo these and I think this could really make them sparkle with style.
Jim on 06.09.2011 at 09:06 AM
It’d be cool in elevator waiting areas & elevator interiors in a boutique hotel.
melissa on 06.09.2011 at 10:49 AM

Crazy disco kitchen upholstered cupboard doors (with disco ball knobs).
Sarah on 06.09.2011 at 11:36 AM
A friend of mine has a set of old Perkins booths as her kitchen chairs. They’d look great recovered in the white Chromo (especially against her orange walls).
Josh on 06.09.2011 at 12:45 PM
I can see the chromo working for a quick backsplash in a kitchen, vinyl would go on quick and easy and be easy to clean. Either that or maybe to brighten up a closet converted into an office.

I would use Chromo on my kitchen cabinet doors!
Jeremy on 06.09.2011 at 16:30 PM

joyrok on 06.09.2011 at 16:33 PM
A de stijl inspired house, furniture, etc. The Red and Blue chair remade or inspired with this Chromo material seems to be a playful update on an old but colorful style.

Shaun McNaughton on 06.09.2011 at 21:22 PM
Lilly kral and Chromo. I would think to make waves with this product, you need to make waves! I look in the backyard and think a POOL LINER would look so modern and unique. Night lighting or even in the day. This would be the ultimate.
Shaun McNaughton
Janet on 06.09.2011 at 22:07 PM
I think Chromo would look great on a pair of shoes.
MayHem on 06.10.2011 at 08:34 AM
Would prefer to see it in solid colors that could be applied to serious design plans, e.g., wall coverings, back splashes, counter tops (if durable enough.)In other words to make it more sophisticated and subtle, so that it can have serious applications. How strong is it? Can it be textured, can it be marbleized, can it have design patterns, e.g., stripes in different colors? If all these things or some of them can be applied to this material, then it have applications outside the kiddy room.
Sarita on 06.10.2011 at 09:08 AM
Dazzling!… I’d use the CY07 to reupholster my 1958 Edsel Pacer. If I had one ?

Nice site, all the best with it Lilly Kral!
Theraisa K on 06.10.2011 at 09:45 AM
If all you need is soap and water to clean it, it’d be perfect for my kids playroom, maybe as a table top covering or even shelving paper to add some spice to the blandness of their white shelf!

In a shop window display to provide effective attraction.

Snarkier Than You on 06.10.2011 at 10:57 AM

Marissa Segura on 06.10.2011 at 16:06 PM
in a gray bedroom. tufted headboard.
Elaine on 06.10.2011 at 16:11 PM
I would buy every available color of Chromo, and create a massive wall art installation outdoors in a very public area. This way the natural light would reflect the surface pattern, and ideally everyone in the surrounding community would be encouraged to interact and with the piece. I’d like to see Chromo used on a whole other level of public art to promote creative citizenship. The more colors, the merrier.
Michael D on 06.10.2011 at 16:11 PM
I’m going to say a good use would be in the kitchen, perhaps as a backsplash-type of application.
julia hendrickson on 06.10.2011 at 16:33 PM

dale nigel goble on 06.10.2011 at 17:23 PM

Aimee on 06.10.2011 at 21:36 PM
Love to see a book series with this as covers.
Thomas Bowersox on 06.10.2011 at 22:38 PM
I think that this would be great as an accent material, great for any bar with a modern interior design to go around the sides of the bar and to cover table tops.I also think it could be used to make some awesome covers for laptops, phones, tablets, etc. Everyone is continuously on the go and try to customize their phones or computer, devices that are always with them. Marketing wouldn’t be too rough and it would give a retro feel to new age technologies.
Mary Lauda on 06.10.2011 at 22:38 PM
Chromo would look great in a child’s playroom!
GeorgiaB on 06.10.2011 at 22:43 PM
I think that the bright colored chromo swatches would look quite impactful used as the upholstery for cube-shaped ottomans or for side tables alongside rich, dark modular furniture by adding a vibrant, youthful punch!
michele martin on 06.10.2011 at 23:31 PM
I invision this in a high end bar design. On the ceiling with lights position to bounce and reflect off the product. It could be subtle, as I imagine it, or fanciful and bold.
I would NOT use it anywhere that I would hang my Eames wall rack. ;) Two great tastes that DON’T taste great together.
