OMG this would be the perfect anniversary present for my husband!! He used to have an aquarium but it leaked out water one day b/c the glass cracked and I know he misses it a lot! Since then, we’ve been a little bit too busy to upkeep a whole aquarium so this would be the perfect replacement! These are soo adorable!!

Yes. I have had cacti and succulents in terrariums and they do just fine.

My worry is the “soil”. That white sand or composite is NOT going to sustain cacti. It’s also going to discolor quickly.

Not to disagree with Debbie Downer but I had both cacti and succulants in an open air terrarium such as these for years and they thrived. Just don’t overwater. That is the key.

Well…hard to brign this up, but cacti and succulents don’t do well in humid environments, and maintaining humidity is about the main reason you’d make a terrarium for. Pretty. But these plants will rot pretty soon.
