Loose Joints by Joscha Weiand

Designer Joscha Weiand feels sometimes how I feel: there are so many darn products in the world that are mass-produced in order to keep up with demand and keep costs low… but that means we all have the same stuff. Same white Swedish bookshelf, same iPhone, same samey samerson. But, Weiand’s Loose Joins project looks at the idea of using a modular system that can be mass produced and yet used to construct unique products. Smart.

Watch a video about how Loose Joints could be used. It’s a fun video with a cute, catchy background song. Loose Joints is Weiand’s graduate project from the Design Academy Eindhoven.
