Luminaire will be exclusively carrying Raf Simons’ upholstery line for Kvadrat. With a background in furniture and industrial design, Simons, who is mostly known for being the Creative Director of Parisian fashion house Dior, was particularly inspired by art for this collection. He brings a unique perspective to textiles because of his fashion background, so it only feels right to collaborate with a well-known and high-quality brand like Kvadrat.

Luminaire will also offer a variety of window treatments and floor coverings from Kinnasand. Designed by award winning Creative Director Isa Glink, these textiles bring together Kinnasand’s Nordic inspiration and over 200 years experience producing high-quality textiles.

In addition to these exciting launches, Luminaire will unveil the in-store exhibition space that will display new designs by Nendo, Tokujin Yoshioka, and Marc Thrope for Moroso.

Highlights of the exhibition will be Oki Sato’s Offset-Frame Chairs for Osaka-based company Kokuyo, the Float stools and the Corners collection for Moroso. Additional pieces on display will also evoke a similar meaning where form and function come together, expanding on Oki Sato’s quintessential philosophy that each product must capture the inexplicable “!” moments in life. These are all an extension of Luminaire’s belief that environments affect people’s lives, and their dedication to being a design resource for creating an ambiance that is up to par with their customers’ beliefs.

This event will be held on June 16th from 6 PM at Luminaire Chicago, 301 West Superior. You can also visit Luminaire online at Luminaire.com.
