Rainbow Storage by emmanuelle moureaux architecture + design

Collaborating with German furniture company, Schonbuch, Emmanuelle Moureaux created a colorful series of storage units called Mille-Feuille. Resembling layers of rainbow-colored sheets of paper that were tossed in the air and then settled randomly into the off-center piles they are now, the units reflect the designer’s love of color, as seen in her previous work on the Sugamo Shinkin Bank project.

The handmade storage units are made out of layers of lacquered MDF and are available in three sizes – 21 layers for a multicolor cabinet, 12 layers for a green-blue low cabinet, and 8 layers for a yellow-pink bedside cabinet, each with their “hidden” drawers.
