NYC Interior Design renovated and redesigned this three bedroom, three bathroom duplex located in the West Village. The 2,500 square foot residence covers two floors, with the main level housing an open floor plan living room, dining room, and kitchen, as well as two bedrooms, and two bathrooms, while the lower level includes the master bedroom, office area, walk-in closet, bathroom, and an outdoor entertaining space.
New white oak hardwood floors were laid throughout with white walls and light, neutral furnishings. They brought in a custom upholstered sofa and paired it with two vintage Pierre Guariche lounge chairs in the living room.
While most of the furnishings are kept light and neutral, they incorporated black elements to help ground the spaces, like with the dining room chandelier.
In the new kitchen, they went with high gloss white cabinets, keeping the small space clean and open.
In the master bedroom, the wall behind the bed was upholstered creating a padded feature wall that can be leaned against when it’s time to relax.
Custom nightstands were built into the wall.
They also created a custom, lacquered, built-in unit for storage.
