A collector of my work alerted me to Elaine’s work recently and I was a little surprised by the similarity of some of our knitted pieces. I had not seen them prior to completing the first Domestic Trophy about 5 years ago. Her work is pretty great, I especially like the long neck deer piece.
I also don’t actually encase any animal remnants in my pieces, hers seem more visceral….

I’ll be very surprised if this wasn’t at least inspired by Elane Bradford’s work.

It is definitely a very different feel, even if you are working with similar methods.
