New Shoes for Camper Designed by Nendo

Nendo takes on Camper’s Beetle shoe and puts their own special twist on it. The shoe is an updated version of the popular Peu Ideal shoe, but this one’s lighter and more water resistant. Nendo decided they wanted to work with Camper’s iconic stretchable shoelaces and knots so that became the basis for the design. Nendo’s Oki Sato has already created spaces for the brand so actually designing a shoe for them seems only natural.

Instead of keeping the laces strictly on top where laces generally go, Nendo incorporates the laces into the actual shoes and makes them a part of the design. The laces are woven into the upper part of the shoe helping to provide comfort and a really cool pattern.
