Noir Chair by Farrah Sit

I guess with a last name like Sit, it is fitting that Farrah Sit sent us a chair. She is a NY-based furniture designer whose new line — where fashion meets furniture. Adorned in metal jewelry chains and hand crocheted cotton by designer Kayo Shibayama, the Noir chair is modern, featuring slim accented lines of sensual proportions. Looking to marry the tactile qualities of jewelry and fashion with furniture, Farrah sought to design and create custom textile not currently found in industry to create luxury feel.

The collection includes a floor lamp and side table, both adorned in dripping chains and angled blackened steel. The Noir chair has been chosen to be a part of the ICFF exhibition hosted by VOOS. I think I’ll stop by and check it out while I’m there.
