NOWNESS In Residence: Daniel Libeskind [VIDEO]

NOWNESS’s In Residence series visits with Polish-born architect Daniel Libeskind in his Manhattan apartment located in west Tribeca.

I love it in the evening, because you can see how beautiful New York is; every building is a sculpture. They’ve got plumbing, so they’re not pure sculpture, but they are really abstract works of lives… In this condensed environment, there is so much richness.

From his most well-known works like the Jewish Museum in Berlin, the Denver Art Museum, and the Wohl Center in Israel, to more recent work such as the plans for the World Trade Center site, his renown designs would pair nicely alongside the classic, modernist furnishings—from the likes of Le Corbusier, Mies van der Rohe, Alvar Aalto—that speckle the interior of his home.
