Upholstered in Kvadrat fabric, the pillow-like seats looks to be very comfortable. The slim, aluminum legs that are painted the same color as the upholstery make the line feel light and airy. Normally, I feel like aluminum legs look “too contract-y” but the fact that they’ve painted the legs, actually make them more appealing to me in a residential setting. However, I think they’d be pretty awesome in a waiting room or lobby, too.
Anderssen & Voll say:
We wanted to make an organic and human sofa series with a light and inviting appearance, without compromising on comfort. The horizontal division in the seat is important, as it allowed us to add extra comfort in the lower part of the furniture while maintaining an airy overall expression. The OSLO sofa series is crafted in the west coast of Norway and with its embracing and rounded softness it stands as a natural extension to the Nordic touch and friendliness that characterizesthe designs of Muuto.
The series will launch at Maison e Objet in Paris in September.
