Admittedly, I got pretty excited when I came across the website for Hard Goods, the Tempe, Arizona-based studio of Brandon Gore. Hard Goods handcrafts the most beautiful line of timeless pieces of furniture made out of concrete, wood, and steel. Producing both a Permanent Collection and a series of Limited Editions, you can bet each piece is just as finely crafted as every piece in this outdoor line of concrete classics.
First up from the Permanent Collection is the No. 002 Modern Muskoka Chair (first image also), a modern reinterpretation of the age-old Adirondack chair. Luckily for us, this interpretation focuses on ergonomics and clean lines with its hand-cast, highly-engineered composite concrete shell that produces a durable and strong seat you’ll want to lounge on.
Perched on a steel base that’s cut, fitted, and welded by hand, and available in six finishes.
You can even kick up you feet with the matching No. 003: Modern Muskoka Ottoman, available in the same finishes and colors.
Add a little bit of comfort with a No. 007: Modern Muskoka Chair Cushion that are covered in durable outdoor fabrics in six colors.
Designed with the same ergonomic considerations as the chair, the No. 004: Inclinare Bench has the feel of a mid-century modern design but made in 2012. Just like the other designs, the bench is available in your choice of two concrete colors and six base colors.
