Paper Lamps by René Barba for Ligne Roset Réaumur

Cuban born designer René Barba designed a pair of lamps made of a non-woven fabric for Ligne Roset, which will soon be on display at the Ligne Roset Réaumur showroom. Exploration of a new material for Ligne Roset, a special, non-woven, tear-proof, non-flammable fabric unlike any other, led Barba to design the light-as-a-feather Paper Lamps.

The fabric sleeve slides over a black lacquered steel base disguising it. The shade is double-sided with one side being white and the other printed in either vertical black stripes or a black grid, both in a hand drawn style. The graphic patterns are on-trend with minimalist, geometric decor that remains a constant in the world of design, so they’ll always work in any space.

The shade mutes the brightness of the light and creates a soft, calming atmosphere.
