I discovered Pia Fries on Art Splash and really loved the way that she works the paint and other mediums on the canvas. Nice juxtaposition between what looks like books or stacks of wood with flowing lines and leafy florals. Even more striking is her use of white space in some of her older pieces, which you can see on Artnet.
