Giant Map Pin Installation Made of Metallic Discs

You might remember the Denmark-based duo of ÖRNDUVALD who created those mesmerizing installations on the sides of fences in Copenhagen. Well, their latest creation, Pin (55° 51′ 42″ N ; 9° 50′ 47″ E),  is part of the “Public Art Horsens” exhibition that is set throughout the city center of Horsens, Denmark, and features murals, sculptures, and installations. Pin is a giant interpretation of those pins you see in Google Maps that let you pinpoint locations on the map.

Watch the video to see Pin in action:

Installed on the side of a building, Pin consists of 10,078 circular discs that are mounted to plywood. The discs flutter as the wind and light hits them and creates curiosity as people pass by. 55° 51′ 42″ N ; 9° 50′ 47″ E happens to be the coordinates of the location of this particular pin.
