Playful, Mixed Material Furniture from VOLK

VOLK is a Brooklyn-based company dedicated to creating handcrafted, artisan wood furniture. This spring, they introduced the playful St. Charles collection, as well as a collaboration with textile brand Coral & Tusk. We showed a sneak peek in our ICFF roundup.

St. Charles is a playful collection that mixes and matches different materials such as glass, copper-plated steel, and concrete with VOLK’s signature choice of material, wood.

St. Charles Lamp

St. Charles Mirror

Bringing in culptural companions, the lamp and the mirror add a refined statement to any room. Their unique proportions challenge traditional notions of form and function. Standing high on a sturdy concrete base, an ash and copper stem hold up a glowing ring in the lamp. The matching mirror has a similar silhouette to add an elegant touch to the pair.

The coffee and side tables contrast the practical nature of glass tops with the heavier beauty of solid wood, and the geometric shapes of the copper base with the white glass.
