Life is a series of small victories; celebrate them.
“You have made us for yourself, our hearts are restless till they rest in You”
Actually I have two mottos which I combine to reflect my entire philosophy. “Don’t sweat the small stuff and whatever floats your boat.”
Another favorite that isn’t really a motto but a situation we all find outselves in sometimes, is reflected in words uttered by the late Walt Kelley’s comic strip creation Pogo the Possum: “We have met the enemy and he is us.” That has to be the ultimate truism.
Hang On Baby!
Let the little things go, hold the important things tightly
I choose to live by a saying that one of my friends used to always tell others – I do what I want! It has worked so far for me…
just do it.
the best way to keep moving is to keep moving
“Close your eyes, clear your heart, let it go, repeat as needed.” That what I tell myself often. It could mean different things to lots of people I guess. It always makes me feels better.
“Sometimes it rains”
If you want peace, prepare for war.
Si vis pacem, para bellum.
Let it be.
Breathe.
Amazing how much it helps to stop and breathe first.
“Fill what’s empty. Empty what’s full. Scratch where it itches.”
only the good die young
Live each day to the fullest because you never know what tomorrow will bring.
State all alterations, hide altered states.
There are many but the first one that comes to mind is:
Treat others the way you would want to be treated
‘design is a good idea’
If it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing well.
proceed until apprehended
I know nike used it… but it’s true: ‘Just do it’
“I have been impressed with the urgency of doing. Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Being willing is not enough; we must do.” ~ Leonardo da Vinci
If it doesn’t make me money or help someone out, I don’t want to do it.
“This, too, will pass.”
everything will be alright in the end
we are all literalists most our lives. presentness is grace.

“the crisis of today is the joke of tomorrow”
– h. g. wells
Today is the perfect day for a perfect day
It’s not hard…just be nice.
If at first you do succeed, try to hide your astonishment.
Ancora Imparo (Still I am learning)
No regrets, only lessons.
Don’t wait to be sure. Move, move, move.
Much depends on dinner.
Everything will work out in the end.
“It is what it is.”
Walk softly, leaving a gentle print in every heart I pass by.
Do, research, do again.
Whenever I used to get worked up about something, my mom would say, “Will it matter tomorrow? Next week? A month from now?” Now, when something makes me frustrated and angry, I try to keep that in my head. If it won’t matter too much later, it shouldn’t matter so much now.
“It’s never too late to have a happy childhood!”
\I may die tomorrow, so I better live for today\
“Live for the moment”
“We are more than the worst thing we have ever done.”
My motto:
“Expect nothing and you won’t be disappointed”
things go wrong and you move on
When I’m old I don’t want to look back on life wishing I had taken more risks.
Choose.
Choose your battles
I enjoy every little moment with my kids because I will miss them. Even the bad ones.
